As a qualified social worker with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Russell offers supervision and coaching to social workers, social work students and other human service practitioners.
His approach is very collaborative and focused on identifying, mobilising and celebrating the strengths, skills and resources of the person he is working with.
Russell is the co-author (with Roger Lowe) of the unique supervision tool, ‘A Vision for Supervision’ published by St Luke’s Innovative Resources, Bendigo. (2014) This card set provides the strengths-based/solution-focused framework that Russell uses to inform his supervision practice.
He was also the co-author and publisher of ‘Life Tweaking: Questions for Coaching, Mentoring and Inviting Change’ which was developed as tool to facilitate coaching conversations. [St Luke’s Innovative Resources, Bendigo. (2014)]
Russell brings to supervision and coaching over 40 years experience as a social worker, a social work educator and a publisher of conversation-building materials. His passion is to explore the possibilities of facilitating growth and change through the use of creative arts, visual imagery, symbol, and metaphor. He also offers a one day workshop on supervision ,Supervision That Sparkles’
Individual supervision, coaching or debriefing can also occur via phone, Skype or email.
Group supervision and conflict mediation services are also available.
